3:44 pm - What's new at PhoenixFireDesigns.etsy.com!

Well, first off, after spending the ENTIRE summer on medications trying to get myself safe enough for surgery, looks like my hysterectomy will be on October 5th.

For those who've missed the updates, I'm 34 and over Memorial Day weekend, I went into the ER in massive pain, only to discover my uterus is full of tumors. Literally pounds of them. So much in fact, I was unsafe for surgery. I have over $10,000 in hospital bills and trying to raise the final $600 I need for surgery. (Of a total of $2,600 total.)

I've been on UNPAID medical leave this whole time (my last paycheck was June 3rd) so trying to pay my regular bills has been a challenge, let alone raising EXTRA money for surgery.

So here's a look at what's new in my shop. Sales help me with living expenses, medical bills and surgery costs. All the info can be found here.

Even if you can't buy something, just passing on the link in your twitter, facebook, blog, etc. is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your support!

Can anyone reccomend an active LJ community or other  serious online discussion forum about past lives which is actually active - researching, examining soul purpose, etc. Open to discussion about both human and non-human lives

The LJ comms which I have found and online forums, all seem to be dead. :(

12:20 am - I've been searching

I've looked for a long time for a community that I can talk about my experiences in, and I hope that this is the one.

I was raised in a Christian home, and I believe is Jesus as God's son.  But I am possibely the most open minded person I know.  I consider all things possible, and anyone who has seen what I have would probably feel the same.

I've always felt like there was something around me, just out of reach.  Some sort of magick or higher power.  Even as a little kid.  I lived most of my life brushing it off when im around people, and trying to 'touch' it when Im alone and can try.

Recently, I met a girl, Mel, who is a gypsy witch (in so much as she has gypsy blood).  Since I've always been interested in magick I was eger to ask her questions.  Eventually, she decided to let me feel magick for myself.  She had traped a hostile spirit in a stone, and let me feel the energy of it.  My body absorbed the radiating energy easier than she thought, and she siphoned most of it away from me.  Then she let her energy flow through me, and I let it flow in and back out.

The next day I started feeling strange things. I told her about it, and she told me to use my energy on her (just a slight push against her hand).  She said that she had unintentionaly unlocked my energy with the flows of energy the night before.

Thats how all this started.

Now there are 8 spirits that 'call me home' so to speak.  Vincent, Archemet, Orin, Shadus, Dark, Braith, Ciara, and Zarina. I talk more about them on my profile.
I just hope that I can share my experiences here.

I very much hope I'm not breaking any rules here, but I've just created a new community to share the beauty of angels and faeries, and thought some of you might be interested to join.

Many apologies if this post isn't allowed.

3:05 pm - Why Chemical Treatment is no Solution to Chemical Imbalances

Hello, I am on a mission to relieve humanity from medicated victim-hood and total dis-empowerment.
Awakening humanity to its full psychic strength and hypnotic powers, otherwise known as magic.

Here is something that has recently been on my mind, if you care to read..

11:59 am - More Eis, Norse Asteroids & Galactic Ayanamsa

reading G's links started looking more at EIS:

  1. Gothic letter for i-rune Isaz = Eis & possibly the e-rune Ehwaz = aihvus/ezy (see Ankhou's page Egeis/Eyz).

  2. eis- :: In words denoting passion. 1. Suffixed form *eis-a-. IRASCIBLE, IRATE, IRE, from Latin ira, anger. 2. Suffixed zero-grade form *is-(e)ro-, powerful, holy. HIERATIC, HIERO-; HIERARCH, HIERARCHY, HIERODULE, HIEROGLYPHIC, HIEROPHANT, from Greek hieros, "filled with the divine," holy. 3a. IRON, from Old English ise(r)n, ren, iron; 3b. GISARME, SPIEGELEISEN, from Old High German isarn, isan, iron. Both a and b from Germanic *isarno-, "holy metal" (possibly from Celtic). 4. Suffixed o-grade form *ois-tro-, madness. ESTRUS; ESTROGEN, ESTRONE, from Greek oistros, gadfly, goad, anything causing madness. 5. Suffixed form *eis-mo. ASMODEUS, from Avestan aesma-, anger. (also at bartlby.com)

The Runes made me aware of rune chanting (Galdr = Seid); & now i understand the magical formula mentioned here.

Seid :: (Old Norse: seiðr, sometimes anglicized as "seidhr", "seidh", "seidr", "seithr" or "seith") was a form of shamanism practised by pre-Christian Norse and arguably other Germanic cultures and continued in modern times by people who practice the reconstructionist beliefs of Ásatrú or heathenry. It involved the incantation of spells, which could amongst other things be termed galdrar or galðrar (sing. galdr or galðr, compare Old English: gealdor or galdor). Practitioners of seid were predominantly women (völva, or seiðkona, lit. seid woman). Although there were male practitioners (seiðmaðr, lit. seid man) as well, in the Viking Age, seid was considered ergi (perversity) for men, as its manipulative aspects ran counter to the male ideal of forthright, open behaviour. The goddesses of Norse mythology were also practitioners of seid, along with Odin, a fact of which he was apparently ashamed, for the above mentioned reason.

a link to Wotan's Invocation of Erda from Völva (who practice the seid).

Verbal Rune Magic :: Galdr or Galdor, from the Old Norse, originally meant 'incantation'. The verb "gala" is also used for "to crow" (ASLÖG aka Kraka (Crow)). It later came to mean magic in general. These are the sounds used in runic oral spells. [provides Galdr Chants for all runes & sources].

Planetary Hour for 827 chart = Sun; AYANAMSA (Fagan/Bradley) 26º55'48", VERNAL POINT 03PI04'11. asteroid HYPERBOREA conjunct VP. DENEB EL ADIGE approximately located at Galactic Ayanamsa.

Ayanamsa is the difference between Tropical (Sayana) & Sidereal (Nirayana) zodiacs; Cyril Fagan chose Spica, the Ear of Wheat,, as the fiducial point [sometimes called the synetic vernal point], defining it as lying at 29 degrees Virgo in the zodiac [not 0 Libra as above in the Lahiri ayanamsha]. Fagin argued that this was in better agreement with the method used by the ancient Babylonians to describe the Zodiac (source; also Planet Longitudes in Babylonian Horoscopes).

Sidereal Astrology: The Tropical and Sidereal Zodiaks & The Cycle of the Holy Cross :: Thus, the Galactic Ayanamsa is defined by setting the GEN (Gate of God) to exactly 5°00’00” sidereal Sagittarius. The Galactic Ayanamsa is 25°00’00” @ 2000 A.D. Thus, 0° Tropical Aries currently resides at 5°00’ sidereal Pisces @ 2000 A.D. and the tropical zodiak has drifted from the fixed sidereal zodiak by 25°00’00” based upon the Galactic Ayanamsa.

I am not a wiccan by any means of the word. However spirituality, and the like have always interested me. I've had a few odd encounters over the years, with random people. But my question is, my dad says he's "part" pyschic, now my mom on the other hand just laughs.

Myself, i'm not so quick to judge, he doesn't show "power" in the sense one might connect with psychic, but I have always had this 'de ja vu' thing since I was little, it doesn't happen nearly as often as it used to, but once in a while my dreams are so real and so vivid I used to have a hard time seperating them from real life. I never did drugs, or drank heavily so they were not "drug induced" in that sense...

I just never knew what to make of it. I had an ex-friend, who said he sense that I could "see/talk to ghosts" he later played a lot of jokes on me, but one time really sticks out in my head. I was on the phone with him, he had never seen my bedroom, never knew where things were. And then he goes "Don't those red lights bother you..." I gasped, and was like huh? he goes "on the steror the ones on your right, don't they bug you?" Mind you I live in minnesota, and he was stationed in minot nd. Now this is where it gets weirder...

The girl he supposedly was with, doesn't remember him. Minot NEVER heard of him, and I haven't talked to him since our big blow out. I know he exsists but it's like his just vanished into thin air. That's the part that wierds me out. He sort of messed me up for a while, and I denoucned all "mystical" things after that, I was to scared to let someone near me, that they could pull the same stuff again....

So what does this mean, or am I just being over sensative and not seeing the "big" picture here?

current mood: curious

hello all.Im new here so i hope people will be nice to me ^_^
I have always wondered, religions tell tales of what miracles occured thousands of years ago.if magical powers existed then, does it still now?

yes?: how can some people have premonitions about what will happen? and what about the people that are able to use their 6th sense- or move objects at will?
posessions,spirit interaction,where is the limit?
no?: how do we believe people tht claim they are naturals, or can perform supernatural "tricks"?
what about the people that walk amongst us, claiming they are seraphims?

vampires, witches, angels...does reality really have a layer underneath it all, where hell is about to break loose or is it just mankind's longing for something "out-of-this-world" releasing them from concrete graves - office- and setting them free onto a new plane where everything is possible.
these are just my ponderings...meant to offend no one.

i dont understand...so what do they mean i'm an "indigo child"? and apocolyptic senses: my immagination?
why do i fear someone else's death other than mine, knowing they will see such things.
in the "normal" world by now my "friends" are snickering,"what a wannabe"-"hallucinating hack..."
and IF i have any potential how do i go about developing it?

3:35 pm - Just a Greeting ...

My friends call me Jadis. I'm not terribly good at introductions ... right now, I must say - I'm looking: just seeing what's out there, what's going on in the world. I've been through a very rough place and I can't seem to get out, and I guess you could say I'm looking to change things ... to find myself again. I've always had a love of things that most consider "darker" ... but as I don't like being put into a category, I can't say that I'm "dark". Right now - I'm watching - waiting to see if something speaks to me ... because I've become frustrated and I feel like nothing hears me. Anyways - as an introduction I wanted to post this little "inner thought" I had:

Candles. Fire. There's something magical about them. You can almost categorize flame as alive - a living thing. It breathes, it eats, it reproduces, it grows. The only thing that it lacks in order to be considered "alive" ... emotion, thought. It has none. I just does what it does on instinct - with no feeling of regret, no remorse, no purpose or planning. It is its own sake - a thing for itself with no ulterior meaning. The fire of a candle is that very thing ... but in a longer held state. It can burn as long as there is fuel for it to feed upon - and its light can be soothing, enchanting.

But have you noticed that candles have life spans ... and their deaths, the flame, passes in its own way. Some drown in their own wax ... buried beneath a liquid pool of its own making. Some smother for lack of air, as when one snuffs them down ... choking them until they blacken and go silent. With these they can be brought back ... you drain the excess and again the flame might live. You bring up the wick and allow it air and a flame sparks forth. Sometimes you have to work at it ... sometimes it takes another candle to ignite: but you can draw that fire back from the shadows and watch it again rise up in a light to the darkness. These are only a permanent as the person lighting them allows. It can be short or long lived: it just depends.

But there is one death that is permanent: when it burns out utterly. It uses all its got - it drains the wax down to a thin veneer. Sometimes there is a shell left - a promise of what it could burn ... but the wick is too short. But in those last moments - notice: the flame is brightest. It sparks and dances and rises higher, and twitches and fights ... like with some passion ... it becomes brilliant. The "death" doesn't come fast. Eventually the supply dwindles, the flame starts guttering - fading - going from a golden light to a strange blue note as it shrinks and declines. And then, with a sort of last puff of breath: it dies. You can try and spark it back like the other forms ... putting a match to it - but you'll find that it can't be revived. Its gone ... finished. And nothing but the possible wax shell and a bit of coating are left at the bottom to hold testament to its life.

12:45 pm - Greetings....

Hello all. I just joined and thought I'd say hi. I've been a practicing pagan for almost 10 yrs now. I tend to be very ecclectic in my beliefs, not following any one set path. I love hearing other points of views from people, and I am constantly looking to learn things.

1:35 am - Tips for Meditation

I just wanted to share this with everyone.

Everyone has problems with thoughts. In our super info-sized world its hard not to. A good way to help with this is by lighting a candle, and while you are breathing, watch the flame and just focus your thoughts on the flame, kind of envelope the essense of it, its warmth, its comfort. If you dont like fire, not a problem, this can work with water too. You can gaze into a bowl of water (see the hint of stereotypes comming through now?) but it works. Water is a real comfort for me. I usually end up meditating in the shower, as funny as that sounds. I just focus on the water that is falling on me. Music is good too. Some have said that you shouldnt meditate laying down, because you end up falling asleep. But This might be good practice too, if you get into the habit, it's a relaxation technique to help you wind down and fall asleep. I've had occations where i get messages right before i drift off to sleep, or sometimes i fall asleep into a vision and end up waking right after. Another method to help get rid of those pesky thoughts is to visualize a comfort place. Mine is in the middle of this lush forrest with the sun streaming down through the trees. If you focus on that one place of yours then you cannot allow other thoughts to get in the way to distract you from fully trying to picture it. Remember praying is for you to talk and meditation is a way for you to listen. Hope this helps :)
